Our children's beaded skipping rope is beaded by hand in the UK. The beads give the rope a little weight, so children can feel it turn and time their jump, and they click on the ground on every turn. The beads are soft and hard-wearing, quiet on a hall floor and tough on the playground.

The rope is 2.5 m long and you can shorten it. It suits skippers up to about 5 ft 4 in (1.63 m). Stand on the middle of the rope: the handles should reach the armpits. If they come higher, shorten the rope at the handles.
