Double Dutch set, 2 × 4.5 mA pair of 4.5 m ropesShop now →Our Double Dutch set is two 4.5 m ropes, sold as a pair, and each one works perfectly on its own as a long rope: one of them is just right for Under the Moon. The 7.5 m long rope is perfect for Wiggly Worm and for all of the long rope games. We suggest every school has at least one Double Dutch set and one 7.5 m long rope. Between them they give you everything you need for teaching, right the way from Reception to Year 6.
To pass the Purple Award, a pupil:
- Links any 6 tricks into a routine, 8 skips each, without stopping
- Turns a long rope steadily for others
- Keeps the pot boiling in Figure of Eight in a group of 6 to 8, completing 2 full figures of 8 (4 jumps)
A pupil passes when they show every skill with control, on two different days. Pupils aren't held back by their age: anyone who can show these skills can take the Purple Award.
